Hydra

Species

Hydra is a fire dragon, known for her flames, which are more powerful and dangerous than most. Her eyes can shift from the warm colors of a sunrise to a fierce, devilish red. She is generally kind and easily frightened, but her anger is explosive when provoked. Though her father's desire to reclaim the crown causes her great stress, Hydra tries to remain cheerful, sometimes even acting as a playful jester.

Appearance

Hydra's scales transition from deep red to bright orange and finally to a sunset yellow. Her eyes shift from a gentle sunrise hue to a fierce, angry red. A gold crown with a ruby at the center rests on her head. Her wings are darker in shade, but they brighten in sunlight. Unlike some dragons, she does not have glass wings.

Role

Hydra, the queen of all dragons, is the second queen of Dragon World. Although many queens came before her, Hydra was present during the creation of Dragon World. Dragons originally lived in the human world, but a brutal war with humans forced them to leave. Hydra's father created a green portal leading to the new world. Her family went first, and around 20 million other dragons followed before the portal began to shrink. Tragically, her father couldn't enter.

Despite his sacrifice, he managed to save 2,000 species of dragon eggs. It's said that Hydra's father was a magnificent gold dragon with wings covered in shining scales—an awe-inspiring sight not many were lucky enough to witness. When Dragon World was created, Hydra was only five years old. The world itself began in the year 2030, and when this story starts, she is 2,035 years old.
