Hydra and Lightning's father was a powerful dragon who created Dragon World—a safe haven for dragons—during a time of great danger. His goal was to save as many dragons as possible, and he succeeded… mostly. But there was a problem. In his rush to complete the portal to this new world, he made a critical mistake. This mistake caused a strange time difference: one year in Dragon World became equal to about seven years in the human world!

Originally, dragons lived in the human world, but their father knew they needed a safer place. So he created Dragon World—an entire realm just for them. But in a cruel twist of fate, he couldn't enter it himself. His family went through the portal, along with millions of other dragons, but he was left behind.

Their mother survived and lived long enough to see Hydra and Lightning become the High Queen and King. Although she is still alive, she doesn't appear in the series as often. Then, just when no one expected it, their father somehow returned. But he wasn't just back—he wanted his throne!

Hydra was the first to see him, but for some reason, she waited nearly a whole year to tell Lightning. Too long? Definitely!
